Agile ventures into Complex Systems
Agile Vehicle Technologies from its R&D facility in Somerset announces its evolving complex systems vehicle design which includes both semi or fully autonomous vehicles able to make navigational decisions, avoid obstacles and operate safely without a physically present driver.
The Proteus 8×8 extreme terrain vehicle team are preparing to introduce an autonomous variant that will increase its range of uses to include hostile and dangerous conditions. Hazardous environments such as nuclear or mining would benefit greatly from such equipment, as well as usual agriculture, logistics and ‘follow-me’ roles. Autonomous vehicle prototypes are testing currently within the Somerset facility and limited volume production will commence shortly.
